Being a mom is one of the greatest things that can happen to a woman. But, becoming a mom too soon can be very difficult for many reasons–not just for you but the child, your family, friends, etc..
There are so many things to think about….Am I mentally mature enough to raise a child? Is this child going to be my responsibility or will my parents have to raise it since I’m a minor? Will I have to drop out of school? Can I get a job ; how about my own apartment? Am I thinking realistically about being a teen mom? Do I realize that even if I am using protection that I can still get pregnant? Am I ready to provide support for a child? How will it affect my life? Am I ready for all the physical changes? Have I thought about the pain of child birth? Am I prepared for a 24 hour-a-day, seven days a week responsibility for another human? What do I want to happen in my life? Do I want to go to college? What kind of career do I want?
These are all legitimate questions and you need to think about them before you become pregnant. Tomorrow’s Hope can guide you through making right decisions. We will give you honest answers and help you navigate through all the questions that you might have.
